Taking a different look at electric vehicle statistics, particularly adoption rates compared to early gas-powered autos, before EVs became mainstream.
A comprehensive review of the major manufacturers in the fiberglass pool industry. This article was a challenge due to the risk of legal and industry blowback, but it currently ranks in the top 3 for most fiberglass pool manufacturer searches.
An investigation into the top emerging technologies in transportation and logistics, and an analysis of their potential impacts on the industry in the future.
A newsworthy article to help people understand their options during a major chlorine shortage. It quickly became -- and remains -- one of the most popular articles on River Pools' blog, the most popular pool resource blog in the world.
A tongue-in-cheek blog post about the calories in Thanksgiving food and how much sexual activity you'd need to burn off various items, written for sexual / general health eCommerce brand Hims.
A piece about the impending Starlink IPO, written to target Elon Musk keyword searches as well as for serious investing analysis.
Part 10 in a 12-part series written to help newer product developers and creators maximize the results of their crowdfunding campaigns. I wrote all 12 parts of this series, which are still featured on the Crowd Ox blog for potential clients and other users of crowdfunding platforms.
An article attempting to rebut some of the hysteria and misinformation surrounding GMOs.
Deeply-researched article to help affiliate marketers optimize their headlines -- based on data and real-world results -- to convert more traffic and make more sales from the same volume of emails (or via other channels).
I mainly like sharing this article because it was one of the earliest published pieces to call out GameStop's extremely high short interest, predating by about a year the massive (and heavily covered) short squeeze and price spike in GameStop's stock. It has been redirected to a general-purpose explainer article about shorting stocks, but is still visible on my Fool author profile.
This is an older guest post I wrote to help a client gain backlinks for SEO purposes. I've never actually owned or transported a tiny home, but I think I've done a pretty good job presenting the information as though I'm an expert at the process. Maybe you'll find it helpful!
This is the longest and most heavily-researched article I've ever published. It was written over the course of six months, during which I maintained my regular publishing cadence with The Motley Fool. I interviewed multiple futurists and experts for this piece, including Ray Kurzweil, Martin Ford, and Aubrey de Grey. Many of the predictions seem prescient (at least to me). The original article is still live, but most of its images are broken now.
Website Work (design + development + copy)
A screengrab of the redesigned site for Amerifi, a small business lender whose owner hired me to provide comprehensive content and SEO services. The company was acquired by Nav approximately eight months after this site went live.
I led the full design, development, and copywriting for a small business in the health insurance consulting space. The site I launched is still actively generating clients for Thrive Medicare Strategies today.
A screengrab of the redesigned site for Blue Chip Sports Management, a health club consulting firm whose owner hired me to provide comprehensive content and design services.
Sales / Promotional Copy Work
A presell page / sales letter for The Motley Fool's Stock Advisor service.
The first email in a 10-email sequence promoting a lifetime subscription to Schaeffer's Weekend Alert Trader.
This is a redesigned pre-sell page for a Canadian coworking space. I provided all on-page copy for all membership options currently on the Touchdown Coworking site, as well as guidelines for adapting the copy to a more conversion-oriented design.
Multimedia Work
The introductory section to a largely confidential proposal for major architectural work on a large medical-grade research facility. The full proposal is nearly 200 pages long and intended to secure a multimillion-dollar service contract.
I wrote all the copy, researched all data, and led design of the final printable / downloadable brochure for Thrive Wealth Strategies.
I wrote and optimized all copy, and created the layout for final design and graphics, for this presentation targeted at health club owners and potential seed round investors.
The complete (as of mid-2019) whitepaper for blockchain-based eSports startup ESTN. I wrote all copy and led the design project to create the final downloadable whitepaper.
I wrote (and managed pre-publication layout + design work) this book to help health club owners and executives maximize their resources and facilities. Topics include legal concerns, hiring and staff management, and multi-channel marketing tactics, among others.
I completely revised and updated a comprehensive lead magnet for inground pool buyers: optimized existing copy, expanded with new copy, and led redesign of final downloadable PDF to present a more "on-brand" experience.
